Bronze MedalWow!  This photo was taken at the German compound back in 2003-2004 during our tour in Afghanistan.  Our military, along with German soldiers, were shooting each others weapons and grading each other on our performance.  I ended up winning the bronze medal for overall performance on the German weaponry.  I must say it was quite fun doing this and got to play with them up close, which we don’t get to do on a regular basis.  This is one of many photos taken in Afghanistan, but one of few from the range date with the Germans.  I must say I was proud of this moment and can say that I did this without many others saying the same thing.  However, I have definitely lost weight since this picture, LOL!  Range safety was quite different than here in the states, but fortunately no one got hurt and everyone made it back with all the same body parts they arrived with.
